I heard the last 15 minutes of this sermon while driving home from work tonight; it was powerful. Matt Chandler passionately pleads with those who are “churched” but have never believed in Jesus Christ as Savior and clearly explains the Gospel for those who have never heard. He shows how we cannot trust in our good works to save us, but we need to look to the cross and to Jesus Christ’s righteousness to save us.
A couple of notes: this conference has caused some controversy and I’m not a fan of Steven Furtick, but Matt was right on with this sermon. Also, I found it a bit distracting that people were moving equipment around on the stage when Matt was wrapping up the sermon and at the most crucial, tender moments of the sermon and during his prayer. I just thought that was weird.
